DESCRIPTION
A trans woman performs a Satanic ritual to get a vagina, but unwittingly invites a demonic presence into her home which demands a terrible sacrifice.
The Dysphoria is a short supernatural horror film by trans writer-director Kylie Aoibheann which won major jury awards at Fantastic Fest, Melbourne Queer Film Festival and Brooklyn Horror Film Festival.
Produced with the support of Queer Screen and Screen Australia, The Dysphoria features award-winning practical effects by Sharp FX (Late Night with the Devil) and is lead by trans actress Eva Rees (Nowhere Boys), alongside Emmanuelle Mattana (Fwends).
