Kylie Aoibheann is an Eora/Sydney-based transgender writer and director best known for her work in the horror and thriller genres.
After graduating from the Australian Film Television & Radio School (AFTRS), she co-founded the production company Inner Pictures.
Her short films include the documentary FAREWELL HAPPY FIELDS (with celebrated poet Fiona Wright), psychological thriller SEE FOR YOURSELF (streaming in Australia on national broadcaster ABC iView) and queer romance ASEXY (featured in Star Observer, FilmInk and ABC Queer).
Her upcoming trans horror short THE DYSPHORIA was a finalist at Melbourne Queer Film Festival’s “Pitch, Pleez!” and Queer Screen’s Pitch-Off: where her script won the Screen Australia Gender Matters Taskforce Screenwriting Prize.
Kylie is in development of her debut feature DEADNAME: a supernatural horror supported by Screen Australia and accelerated in the Australians in Film (AiF) Untapped Lab..
Advocating for authentic LGBTQIA+ representation onscreen, Kylie also works as a story consultant and has appeared on various panels including SXSW Sydney and Triple J's The Hook-Up.
Kylie lives, works, and creates on the stolen lands of the Gargial (Caregal) people of the Eora Nation.

Oliver Ellis is a Naarm/Melbourne-based producer with a passion for supporting emerging creatives to realise ambitious and diverse screen projects.
Drawing from their identity as a neurodivergent, queer, and non-binary creative, Oliver is the co-founder of production company Inner Pictures.
As a producer, their short films include the documentary CODA (with celebrated performance artist Jodee Mundy OAM), female-led drama UNWILTERED (which screened at multiple international festivals) and psychological thriller SEE FOR YOURSELF (streaming in Australia on national broadcaster ABC iView).
They are producing Kylie Aoibheann’s award-winning horror short THE DYSPHORIA, which was a finalist at Melbourne Queer Film Festival’s “Pitch, Pleez!” and Queer Screen’s Pitch-Of.
Oliver holds a Bachelor of Arts in Screen Production from the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) and a Graduate Certificate in Politics and International Studies from the University of Melbourne.
Oliver was one of The Minus18 Foundation’s inaugural Young Leaders in 2021. Outside of producing, they also work as a story consultant, assistant director, and photographer.
Oliver lives, works, and creates on the stolen lands of the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation.
